PAYMENT & REFUND POLICIES

These Payment & Refund Policies contain important information about participating in NOMATRIBE Trip or Expedition and using the services provided by NOMA TRAVELS LLC. By booking a Trip or using our services, you ("Participant”) agree to these policies in addition to the NOMATRIBE Terms and Conditions.

BOOKING AND DEPOSITS

Reserve Your Spot

To secure your place on a NOMATRIBE trip or expedition, a USD $500 deposit is required at the time of booking.

  • This deposit is refundable or transferable to another trip only if the trip has not been confirmed yet.

  • If the trip has been confirmed, the deposit becomes 50% refundable.

Payment Options

You can choose one of the following payment plans:

  • Option 1: Pay 50% one month after booking, and the remaining 50% at least 45 days before the trip.

  • Option 2: Pay 100% either one month after booking or 45 days before the trip.

Payment Methods

You can pay using:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (via We Travel – 3.9/4.9% surcharge)

  • US Bank Transfer

  • Venmo

  • Wise

Late Payments

If you miss a payment deadline, a 5% late fee will apply.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Full Refund (Within 24 Hours)

You can cancel your booking within 24 hours for a full refund, as long as your trip starts more than 45 days away. For trips starting within 45 days, you still have 24 hours to cancel for a full refund. Note: Credit/debit card and banking surcharges are non-refundable.

If the Trip HAS NOT Been Confirmed:

A trip is considered "not confirmed" if the minimum number of participants (6) has not been reached and NOMATRIBE has not officially announced it as confirmed.

Cancellation more than 60 days before the trip start date:

  • 100% credit for a future available trip, or

  • 90% refund of total payments, minus a $100 administrative fee

Cancellation between 45–60 days before the trip:

  • 100% credit for a future available trip, or

  • 50% refund of total payments, minus a $100 administrative fee

If the Trip HAS Been Confirmed:

Once the minimum number of participants is reached and the trip is officially confirmed, cancellation terms change.

Cancellation more than 45 days before the trip start date:

  • 50% refund of total payments made, minus a $100 administrative fee, or

  • 100% credit for a future available trip, minus a $100 administrative fee

No Refunds (0-45 Days Before Trip)

  • Cancellations made within 45 days of the trip start date are non-refundable and non-transferable.

No-Show Policy

If you don’t show up for your trip, no refunds or credits will be provided.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Extreme Situations (Within 45 Days of Trip)

In the case of events such as:

  • Natural disasters

  • Government travel restrictions

  • Pandemics

NOMATRIBE may offer partial refunds or trip credits, at its discretion. Personal emergencies (e.g., illness, family matters) do not qualify for refunds or credits.

Travel Insurance

All participants must provide proof of valid travel insurance no later than 30 days before the trip.

Your insurance must include:

  • Trip cancellation

  • Medical expenses

  • Emergency events

CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING

If You’re More Than 45 Days Before the Trip

If the Trip Has NOT Been Confirmed:

  • You can upgrade your room (if available) — free of charge.

  • You can switch to another available trip. If approved:

    • We’ll transfer your payment to the new trip.

    • If the new trip is more expensive, you’ll pay the difference.

If the Trip HAS Been Confirmed:

  • You can upgrade your room (if available) — free of charge.

  • You may request to transfer to another available trip, but this will be treated as a cancellation, and our cancellation policy will apply unless we approve an exception in writing.

If You’re Less Than 45 Days Before the Trip

No changes allowed. This includes:

  • No switching dates

  • No changing trips

  • No transferring your spot to another person

You can still upgrade your room if space is available — free of charge.

BOOKING AS A COUPLE

Couples need to book separately but follow these steps:

  • First person books at full price. 

  • The second person uses a custom link to get a 70% discount on accommodation. 

  • Important: The second person’s discount only applies to accommodation. For included activities as week activities and weekend excursions, the second person pays at 100%. 

NOMATRIBE CANCELLATION OF A TRIP OR EXPEDITION

Cancellation Before Departure

NOMATRIBE reserves the right to cancel any trip or expedition prior to departure for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Low enrollment (minimum 6 participants per trip or expedition)

  • Economic infeasibility to operate the trip or expedition

  • Safety, health, or welfare concerns regarding participants

If NOMATRIBE cancels a trip or expedition before departure:

  • Participants will receive a full refund of any money paid to NOMATRIBE.

  • If the cancellation is due to a significant event making the trip infeasible (such as natural disasters, political instability, etc.), NOMATRIBE will refund all money paid. Additionally, NOMATRIBE may offer a refund or credit toward a future trip or expedition, equivalent to any remaining monies paid.

  • Any credit provided will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

NOMATRIBE is not responsible for any non-refundable expenses incurred by participants in preparation for the canceled trip or expedition, or any additional arrangements made by participants. 

Please note that a minimum of 6 participants is required 45 days prior to the start date of the trip. We will notify you with the trip confirmation by day 45 before the trip

Cancellation During the Trip or Expedition

NOMATRIBE reserves the right to cancel a trip or expedition in progress for reasons concerning the safety, health, or welfare of participants. If this happens:

  • Participants will receive a prorated refund of the amount they paid.

  • NOMATRIBE is not responsible for any non-refundable expenses incurred by participants before or after the cancellation of the trip or expedition.

Delays or Interruptions

NOMATRIBE may also delay or interrupt the start or progress of a trip or expedition due to:

  • Travel or quarantine restrictions

  • Health and safety concerns

  • The closure of accommodations, businesses, or services due to lockdowns or similar events

In such cases:

  • NOMATRIBE will contact participants regarding alternative launch dates or arrangements.

  • Participants will be responsible for additional costs caused by the interruption (e.g., extra travel, accommodation, food).

  • You may be able to seek reimbursement from your travel insurance for these additional costs.

  • NOMATRIBE will make reasonable efforts to minimize the impact of such interruptions but cannot be held liable for additional expenses incurred.

OTHER POLICIES

Unused Services

No refunds or credits for unused portions of the trip.

Add-Ons

Optional add-ons (e.g., excursions) are non-refundable.
